Nexus Labs are discussion groups where participants sit together and share thoughts, feelings and impressions in a manner that is conducive towards deepening connection. The Round Out is a key component of Nexus Science and is one of its most useful and effective tools. We call them “labs” because the act of getting into a dialogue with others is the best and most effective laboratory for discover out connection.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

There is a great kind of wisdom that emanates from a group most commonly referred to in human groups as “collective wisdom”. Scientists also call it group intelligence and philosophers call it the “wisdom of the crowd”, a phenomena that has recently become a popular tool used in business. The Discussion Circles used in the Yield Method are a substantive activity which puts all participants into a group intelligence dynamic where they can experience the power, potential and benefit of this kind of wisdom. In short, we always talk to another but how often do we talk with each other? The Discussion Circle changes that dynamic.

WHY DOES IT WORK

You’ve heard of the term “vicious circle”? Well, think of this as a “virtuous circle”. Meaning that the Round Out is a safe place where people are able to open up to each other in ways most of us have maybe never imagined we could do. When people trust and speak freely and honestly with each other a kind of magic happens in increased connection, empathy and understanding.

HOW IS IT USED

We have changed our interpretation of what a discussion is over the centuries.  The true interpretation of the concept of “discussion” should be to examine through conversation or dialogue for the purpose of discovery. However, today we think of it only as an opportunity to speak to someone who very seldom bothers to listen. Conversation, in theory, should be an exchange between two or more people.

WHEN IS IT USED?

The Round Out is a key component of the Yield Method as it order to promote transitions
